STORY
Karen Frandsen first began
drawing kids to decorate her classrooms. Karen's Kids were
officially born in 1987 when she created her first three
products. Since then these amusing little characters have
continued to grow in popularity. They stand for helping
and serving and taking care of each other. Today Karen devotes
her time to illustrating and creating new ideas and working
on projects that support a creative, safe and character-building
environment for children. According to customers, their
"...timeless and universal appeal warms the hearts
of adults and children today and will endure and enchant
for years to come."

What is important to me?
...God, family, friends, children, illustrating, creating,
reading, Saturday morning cartoons, and green tea. My love
for children and teaching were a perfect match. The runny
noses, untied shoes, giggles, silly words, tears, sticky
fingers, bandaids, talking animals and monsters in the closet
became part of Karen's Kids and their story. The reason
Karen's Kids motto is "...sharing, caring and working
together, helping to make the world a better place."
is because, as Alfred A. Peterson wrote, 'Our children are
watching us live, and what we ARE shouts louder than anything
we say.' It is our responsibility to model respect, character,
honesty, integrity and courage to our children.

MISSION
Our mission is to promote
integrity, honesty, respect, excellence and caring for others
through our actions, our decisions and through the images,
products and ideas we create. It is our purpose to make
a difference to the children of this generation by developing
images and products that stand for and promote these traits.
WHERE
WE ARE GOING
Karen's Kids are ready to
decorate dolls, toys, puppets, games, educational items,
children's clothing, fabric, bedding, gift collectibles,
all kinds of merchandise and products. Besides drawing new
images Karen creates all kinds of products using the characters
including educational, interactive teaching tools, gift
items, picture books, dolls, bedding, room decor and so
much more.
