PUMPKIN FOLD BOOK Templates K-3 Free Printables (Karen's Kids)

Karen's Kids fun fall pumpkin fold book project is perfect for any fall or Halloween activity.  There are four templates to fit different skill levels.  (Younger students and some older students will need help folding their books for the first time.)  Detailed directions are included with each template.  

K-1 Fold Book Templates: 

• There are two templates for the K-1 students.  Color the pictures template and the pre-colored pictures template.  Kindergarteners and 1st graders can choose the black and white template to color or the pre-colored template to just fold.
  
• Each picture includes a word that names the picture (pumpkin, owl, turkey, etc.). Kids love folding and unfolding their books and reading the simple words that name the picture.  This version is great for ESL students too.

2nd - 3rd Grade Templates: 

• There are two templates for the 2nd-3rd grade students who read and write. Both patterns include writing and drawing prompts. Be sure to have students share their writing and illustrations...they can be pretty humorous.
  
  
• The read, write and fold template is the easier pattern.  Students write, color and fold their books.  Some students may need help folding for the first time.
     
• The cut and past version includes more steps after the sections are cut out.  This is a great following-directions activity and will take more time to create. 
  
  

READING BUDDIES PROJECT

This would be a fun activity for older reading buddies to do with their younger reading buddies.
